It is in the Baroque style, made from fine, gold electroplated bronze / brass which is in excellent clean and bright condition. It is boldly outlined with pieced panels, swan neck pediment and decorated with ornate scrolls, goddess mask and mythical creatures. The dial is integral to the case and is mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouches, and is complete with the original hand fretted, blued steel hands.

Compagnie des Bronzes of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels; The company built an international reputation for monumental bronzes, producing many important items. Their signature mark is on the movement backplate.

The clock modelled and beautifully finished all the way around and the back door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen; the set displays beautifully in the centre of a room as well as on a mantle or side table.

The French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. It features the superior pin-pallet escapement and rack striking and runs for 8 days between winding. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very very slight wear/discolouration to the excellent original gilding. The dial cartouches have a few very small chips and a light scratch on the number 6.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
