Late 18th Century Bristol Bracket Clock

Description

RICHARD PRICE BARBER, BRISTOL ~ a good and thoroughly original late 18th century BRACKET CLOCK in full working order.

The case is ebonised with a bell top set with cast carrying handle and four "pineapple" finials whilst the front door features ornate spandrels to the upper corners. The 8-day movement with its finely engraved backplate and original anchor escapement, strikes hours on a bell.

The good silvered and engraved dial has subsidiary "Strike/Silent" dial in the arch whilst both dial and backplate are engraved with the signature of the maker. Full working order and guaranteed for at least two years.
