Large Impressive 18th Century Tavern Clock

Description

An impressive late 18th century large TAVERN CLOCK of handsome proportions.

The case is of mahogany, with a finely figured "flame" mahogany door, chisel base with access door and simple "ears" below the wooden one-piece painted dial.

The eight-day movement is weight-driven (original oval weight) and features a narrow main barrel to allow for the duration. Original brass hands, the minute hand counterbalanced. Perfect working order; good condition and lovely warm colour.
