Description

Handsome late 19th.c. mahogany pedestal desk by the celebrated London cabinet makers James Shoolbred & Co. c.1880. Inch thick solid mahogany top with a moulded edge over three drawers. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated depth with turned mahogany knobs and original ceramic castors. Superb quality emblematic of Shoolbred’s output; with solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. With a clear maker’s stamp to each of the top three drawer fronts. Some wear typical of use, otherwise excellent condition, restored cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.

Dimensions: width 48", depth 24", height 30½".
