The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed with the Elgin name and it has the serial number 24,000,819 which dates it back to 1921. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The full hunter case is gold filled and it has beautifully elaborate initials to the front cover … MBS but perhaps not in that particular order. The case is in lovely condition.

The winding crown pushes down to release the front cover. Inside there is a plastic lens which is in good condition. The signed enamel dial is also in good condition with just a short hairline above the sub second dial. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
