The theme of the carving is flowers, leaves, ribbons and swags.
The bed is in very good condition the carving is crips and clear and the patina of the walnut shines through, and an added bonus to this charming piece it has a matching night table. The night table has the same exquisite carving, it had a drawer at the top with a marble lined cupboard and an undertaker at the bottom
The bed will be supplied with a new pine slatted base and requires only a mattress 76’ x 54” to complete it, the head board is 57” high and 59” wide
