Large Heavy Quality Chinese Dragon Carved Kang/coffee Table

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine and heavy quality Chinese carved hardwood coffee table generically known as a kang or opium table, the scroll end table is made from a solid native hardwood possibly honghmu or padouk (Chinese rosewood)the finely carved friezes depict opposing flaming dragons chasing the pearl , the top is made from a one piece thick cut fielded panel, this is a slightly larger extremly robust example of this type of table that has patinated to a rich mellow colour.
The condition is solid and very clean .
