A 1950s Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1950s Smiths De Luxe wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement with 17 jewels which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped Made in England.

The watch measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated … there is a little marking and rubbing but overall the condition is very acceptable for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The black signed dial is also in good condition and has original hands and centre seconds with a red pointer end.

A new dark reddish brown strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
