An Antique Waltham Traveler Pocket Watch, 1902

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Waltham Traveler pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed American Waltham USA Traveler and it has the serial number 11,399,785 which dates it back to 1902. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition for such an early piece with just a slight unevenness to the back, a little scratching and some wear to the outer edge of the engine turned detail but overall very acceptable.

The watch glass is in good condition - there are

The enamel dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
