The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London (import mark), 1908 with an importer’s mark for George Dimier for Dimier Brothers, gold and silver watch importers based in Cannon Street, London. The case a little unevenness to the back but otherwise it is in good condition.

The watch glass has a few minor marks but is very acceptable.
The enamel dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, E Nicklin of Guildford. The dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
