Description

A very handsome example with an Egyptian revival gilded Sphinx finial to the lid. The box has an integral tray and to each side a very English Lion's head mounts supporting ring swing handles.

Standing on four decorative feet the box is beautifully decorated with engraving. Dating to the Victorian era, around 1880 and remaining in superb condition. 9 1/2" x 7" x 6 1/2" tall to top of finial.
