The lid is divided into ten sections, with ivory stringing inserted between each, whilst the front, also with divisions separated by ivory stringing, features an ivory escutcheon and a vacant oval cartouche. surrounded by silver pique-work dots.
The lid opens to reveal twin compartments each with inner lids fitted with ivory knops. A good example.
