An 18th century Oak Box.

The hinged lid with a slightly oversailing moulded edge, and steel lifting handle. The body with bold exposed dovetail corners, and an oval steel escutcheon plate. The base with a rounded mould edge. The box complete with substantial original lock, key, and strap hinges, all of which work well.

Height, 7 inches Width, 14 inches Depth, 9 inches
