Oak Monk’s Bench or Hall Seat C.1910.

Description

Edwardian carved oak Monk’s bench or hall seat c.1910. Typical of the form, the backrest folds down and slides forward to make a useful side table top. Panelled top and backrest with crisp vine and grape carved detail to the underside. Sturdy carved medieval style lions form the arms or table supports. Over a lift up seat with useful storage below for shoes etc. With a repeat of the grape carving to the front panel. Raised on turned bun feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Dimensions: width 42", depth 20", height 26"/38".
