A Great Example of a 1920s Waltham Pocket Watch

Description

A great example of a 1920s Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away strongly and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes or so over 24 hours. The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, USA and it has the serial number 25,351,468 which dates it back to 1926. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold plated and it was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The white enamel dial looks super to the naked eye … there is a very faint hairline crack rising up from the Waltham name but it is virtually invisible to the naked eye. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
