Parquetry Top Chess Table C.1870.

Description

Delightful little mid 19th.c. chess table c.1870. Circular top in burr walnut with inlaid parquetry work chessboard in squares of contrasting timbers set within a cross banded border. Raised on an crisply carved walnut column with shaped tripod feet. A few earlier repairs to the top, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Dimensions: diameter 19½", height 29".
