Good Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet of Compact Size

Description

A particularly fine quality late 18th or early 19th century mahogany BOOKCASE-CABINET of compact size.

Below the well-drawn cornice are two glazed doors that retain most, if not all of the original glazing. These open to reveal two banks of adjustable shelves within, lined with watered silk. Below, the well-figure panel doors open to reveal shelved cupboards, and this pretty and useful cabinet is supported on elegant 'swept' bracket feet.

Hinges and locks are all gilded (and original) and complete with original keys. 74ins high; 43ins wide (188 x 109cms)
