The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The movement is signed Am Watch Co, Waltham, Mass and it has the serial number 15,424,867 which dates it back to 1906. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Birmingham 1907 with a case maker’s mark for the English silversmith Aaron Dennison. The movements were often imported from the US for casing and subsequent retail within the UK. The case has surface marks but overall is very acceptable for a piece from 1906.

The plastic lens is in good condition.
The white enamel dial is signed with the AWW Co, Waltham, Mass name. There are a couple of short hairline cracks next to the number 8 but they are quite difficult to see with the naked eye.
