Antique Deep Buttoned Leather Wing Back Settee - Sofa

1900 - 1920
Description

This 2 seater antique green leather wing back settee is in lovely original condition & I would date it to around the 1920-30's period. The seat & inside back are deep buttoned, with hand tacks all around the edges. It sits on mahogany legs with cross stretchers between them. This sofa has a lovely shape especially on the wings & arms. The seat is quite firm & very slightly dipped either side of the middle, so it feels much more comfortable sitting either side of the centre which is harder. The condition of the leather is good with no rips or tears, just one or two old scuff marks which have been coloured in. The leather has also been professionally hand polished to bring out the original colour.

Height - 43.4", 110 cm

Seat Height - 13.8", 35 cm
