Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
These are large and very rare carvings, they are carved all the way around ( front and back) and they do have fixings allowing them to be hung on a wall, the carvings are very naturalistic, leaf like shapes with tightly curled fronds
They are in good condition for their age and made in solid Oak, and come from a Chateau in France
The overall size of each piece is 43” high, 15: wide and they are 2” thick
