A wonderful late Victorian Black Forest letter rack or holder superbly hand-carved featuring a central pair of birds above their next, both retaining their original glass eyes. The carving is intricate and beautifully executed with details such as the three eggs in the nest, Oak leaves and acorns (a chip to one of the leaves, shown for accuracy).

Late Victorian in era, this lovely and most unusual piece remains in excellent condition. The footprint measures 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 7 1/2" tall.
