The good quality mahogany case of Chippendale style having a polished top with a dentil cornice and blind fret frieze. The 2 doors with well figured mahogany panels, brass door strip , escutcheon and Bramah lock. The lower section with 2 moulded edge drawers, brass swan neck handles and Bramah locks and escutcheons. The whole standing on off set ogee bracket feet. In superb original condition complete with working locks and keys. All locks numbered and stamped Bramah.

Bramah locks are synonymous with quality antique furniture, tea caddies and boxes. The company was founded in 1784 by Joseph Bramah the same year he received a patent for his superior lock design. The company manufacture bespoke locks in London to this day. More photos available.
