19th century
Description

Early 19th.c. French portrait of lady in oil on canvas c.1820. Unidentified but finely dressed subject in a corseted gown with a chiffon blouse, coral earrings, a brooch with a gold frame at the neck and an unusual gold chain or similar (rosary perhaps?) pinned to the bodice. Some damage and missing areas of paint at the edges. Otherwise good condition, presented unframed on the original oval stretcher.

Early 19th.c. French portrait of lady in oil on canvas c.1820.
