Description

This very elegant rug was made in Kuba in the eastern Caucasus around the last quarter of the 19th century. The deep indigo-blue field contains two vertical rows of lozenges, and within each lozenge, as can be seen in the close-up images, are very delicately-drawn trees. The rug is finely knotted and in very good overall condition.

Size: 2.00m x 1.17m (6' 6" x 3' 10").
