Description

A most impressive scale with a base measurement of 13" x 8" and standing 6" tall. The serpentine shaped base stands on four original bun feet and made from a stunning rich piece of burr walnut.

The two polished pans are decorated with a foliate wreath design. There is a set of seven hefty brass weights, possibly the top small one being a replacement.

Victorian in era dating to c.1890, this certainly is a superb example in excellent condition.
