Fine Pair of English Cast Iron Royal Figures C1902

Description

This finely-cast and well-detailed PAIR OF TITLED ROYAL FIGURES bear the DESIGN REGISTRATION NUMBER for 1902/03.

The FIGURES are entitled KING EDWARD VII and QUEEN ALEXANDRA to the respective bases.

The pierced medallions on the stands depict the symbols of the Countries which make up Great Britain; the Irish Shamrock, the Welsh Leek, the Scottish Thistle and the English Rose.

The condition is good. There are no cracks or repairs. The tail of the Queen's Horse is missing.

The balance is good and the Figures stand well on their own.

Depth: 1.75 inches (4.5 cm)
