This classical French bronze figure after the antique produced circa 1880 by the Barbedienne foundry in Paris using the reduction mechanique process originally invented by Achille Collas (1794-1859). Bearing the foundry stamp, raised on a black marble plinth

Dimensions: 22" high base 8" wide x 6" deep

Condition: This bronze figure is in excellent original condition

Achille Collas (1794-1859) worked with Ferdinand Barbedienne designing a version of the Antique Roman 'Venus de Milo'. Collas invented a means of "mechanically reducing" the scale from the original statue
