Art Deco Sculpture of a Tern by Irene Rochard C.1930.

Description

Graceful spelter desktop sculpture of a tern in flight above cresting waves c.1935 by the Frech animal sculptor Irénée Rochard (1906-1984). Measuring three feet from wing tip to wing tip, the bird is removable via a sliding block to allow for ease of delivery. Black marble plinth base, signed ‘I. Rochard’. Great decorative piece, in excellent original condition.

Dimensions: width 23", depth 19", height 18½".
