Low Inlaid Oak Coffer C.1790.

Description

Very attractive late 18th.c. French inlaid oak dower chest or coffer c.1790. Long low dimensions typical of the form with superb ebony and boxwood inlays to the panels and front staves. Decorative brass stud work, pierced steel escutcheon plate and carved detail. Replacement hinges, lock and receiver otherwise original throughout. Ideal height for a television stand.

Dimensions: width 68", depth 25", height 24".
