A Gent's 1927 Silver Gilt Wrist Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A gent's 1927 silver gilt wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The nicely jewelled movement is stamped Swiss made.

The watch measures 30 mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30 mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver gilt and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1927 with the importers mark G.S ( George Stockwell ). The front and sides of the case have light surface marks from use and light wear to the edges but overall it is in nice condition. The case back has mild bruising and wear to the gilded finish.

The glass watch lens is in nice condition.

The enamel dial has faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has blued steel breguet style hands

A later black leather strap has been fitted.

Price includes worldwide postage.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
