Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The original edition of 1766 commands figures around £20,000. This being the Second edition which is very hard to find in such quality.

This is the last edition to use the original engraved plates by Stubbs himself. Sir Alfred Munnings stated ' This is the most unique thing of its type ever compiled'. A lifetimes ambition for Stubbs himself, in 1756 he rented a farmhouse in the village of Horkstow, Lincolnshire, and spent 18 months dissecting horses, assisted by his common-law wife, Mary Spencer. He moved to London in about 1759 and in 1766 published The anatomy of the Horse. The original drawings are now in the collection of the Royal Academy. This book includes a particular description of the bones, cartilages, muscles, fascias, ligaments, nerves, arteries, veins and glands.
