Large Pair of Lancaster & Sons Staffordshire Pottery Lions

1900 - 1920
Description

This wonderful PAIR OF STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERY LIONS were made by LANCASTER & SONS of the Dresden Works, Hanley around 1920.

The glass-eyed LIONS stand on plinths with one front paw raised on an orb.

They are in good condition with no restoration. The white mark on the front of one plinth is purely a glaze run caused in the making.

How proudly they stand.

Height: 11 inches (28 cm)

Length: 14 inches (36 cm)

Depth: 5.25 inches (13.5 cm)
