Description

A highly impressive and fine quality early/mid 19th century mahogany WINE COOLER (or Cellarette) by Gillows of Lancaster.

A known design (copies of original drawings available) this good quality wine cooler features the trademark Gillows roll-over "cushion" top leading to the original lead lining which is in good condition. Fine panels of best "flame" mahogany are to be found on all four sides, and it is supported on typical Gillows turned 'apple" shaped feet and large castors within. 32ins wide; 23ins deep; 19.5ins high. (81 x 58.5 x 50cms)
