"The Panels and all dark wood on this Box Seat are made from English chestnut and wrent wood (carved work) first used in a hunting box from The Old Court House, Gloucester, in the reign of James I - 1612.
The Box seat was made of fine quality oak in 1904 by C Fowler of Gloucester"

The Box Seat is of wonderful colour and patination, in excellent original condition, constructed to the highest standard, beautifully presented - been waxed and cleaned using traditional restoration techniques and is now ready to be housed in its next home.
