Description

A Rare Coromandel & Satinwood Victorian Period travelling stationery box. The case made from wonderfully figured coromandel with a silver plated monogram to each door. Opening to reveal a beautiful fitted interior with a day, date and month calendar, letter racks, a pen tray, ink bottles and a removable writing slate. Having a drawer to the base which can only be opened with the case is fully open. Having a brash patent locking mechanism, sadly the key is missing. English circa 1870-1880
