SUPERB, SOLID SILVER, BOAT SHAPED MUSTARD POT WITH BLUE GLASS LINER. BY J. RODGERS & SON, SHEFFIELD 1913.
This is a superb, solid silver, boat shaped mustard with pierced decoration and a blue glass liner. Unusually, the handle and lid hinge are mounted on the long side, adding to this piece’s originality. It bears clear hallmarks for Sheffield 1913 and the maker’s mark of J Rodgers & Son.
Condition:
This mustard is in very good condition (see photos).
Measurements: 7.0 cms height to finial x 9.0 x 8.0 cms approx. (incl. handle)
Weight of silver holder: 86.2 grams approx.
Weight of glass liner: 95.4 grams approx.
