The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has been engraved and reads, ’BR London Midland Region, J T Ellis, in appreciation of 45 years service’.
The case is gold plated and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The Swiss movements were imported to be cased and subsequently retailed in the UK. The case has light surface marks but overall is in good condition.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
