Description

A handsome brass desk or counter bell with a hefty cast base and an attractive push button to the top, once punched with the palm of the hand let's out an attractive but authoritative ring.

The underside reveals the original gilded finish with the remains of ink writing, I believe stating the original price. In addition, the underside of both the base and the bell itself is struck with an English design registration number of 45761 which allows us to date it accurately to the year 1886. The base diameter measures 3 3/8" and the bell stands 5" tall. Excellent condition and in working order.
