An attractive and good quality 19th.Century Continental burr oak escritoire.The grey variegated marble top with a frieze drawer below. The fall retains the original tooled leather writing surface and opens to reveal a good interior with 1 long drawer supported with an arch and 4 rosewood inlaid corbels which contain sprung mechanisms to open the secret drawers below. The lower part of the interior with 5 drawers and 2 secret drawers.

There are 3 oak lined drawers below each with brass escutcheons and the whole standing on a plinth base with turned feet to the front and square block feet to the back.
