Grand Antique English Antler Horn & Sterling Silver Magnifying Glass - 1881

Description

A large example, measuring 9 1/2" in length with a glass diameter measuring 4".

The antler horn handle is finished with a solid or sterling silver terminal, both sides embossed, both this and the sterling silver ferrule are hallmarked for Sheffield 1881.

The nickel framed glass is of course new, unmarked but probably by Hilkinson, making it very usable piece, without damage, clear and with a good magnification.

A superb, grand and impressive desk accessory in excellent condition.
