Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The interior is fitted out with pigeon holes and internal cupboard. It comes with working key which locks all the drawers (but not the fall). The front is in a beautiful flame figured mahogany in original condition along with satinwood banding.

Condition Report:
Lots of marks and scuffs and quite a few old mends to the veneer especially to the feet. Some of the satinwood banding is missing in places on the drawer edges. Escutcheon to second drawer down is missing. It has some old worm holes to the base which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution. Solid and sturdy. The piece has been given a light beeswax polish but hasnt been French polished.
