A George III Metamorphic Chair

Description

In good quality Cuban mahogany, on sabre legs terminating in brass castors. The cane seat supports a leather squab cushion and the treads of the steps are in matching, tooled leather. This design was first illustrated in "Ackermans Repository of Arts" 1811. In very good condition. 560 mm wide, 850 mm high and 660 mm deep. Circa 1820.
