Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong, and repeats the hours at will via the upper button. Original blued steel "moon" hands and the backplate is signed with the Drocourt trademark and numbered 16450.
This fine clock (which is in perfect working order) is also complete with the original numbered winding key and original numbered travelling case. *(The case number is to be found under the original retailers label for Grohe of Wigmore Street, London. See separate image.)
