Gents Silver 1930s Cushion Cased Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents silver 1930s cushion cased wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped fifteen 15 jewels, two 2 adjustments, Swiss made.

The watch measures 31.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high including the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1930 with an importer’s mark of GS (George Stockwell). The case is in nice condition with only light surface marks from use.

The lens is in good condition.

The silvered harlequin dial has Shock Absorber and Swiss Made printed at the bottom. The dial has light discolouring but overall it is in nice condition. It has blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
