The patent number of the design is marked on the shade carrier.
The light is made of solid brass that we had cleaned but not lacquered, and we have had the whole light rewired professionally. The flash from the camera has caused dark marks to appear to be on the brass, but in reality it is a lovely deep brass colour.
It measures 33cm in length, approximately 40cm with the shade included; 28cm in height from the base of the shade to the tip of the finial, and the backplate is 10cm square, with four screw holes for easy fitting.
The words MADE IN ENGLAND are cast on the back of the wall plate - see photo 5.
