Antique Inlaid Marquetry Marble Top Corner Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

This large antique marble top corner cabinet is very impressive & in great condition. There are many woods within this piece, but I think the predominate ones are Kingwood & walnut. The marquetry & inlays are made up from many other exotic woods. The original marble is in good condition with a lovely colour & the front of this cabinet is a kind of double serpentine shape. There are gilt metal mounts on the bottom & on the shaped feet. This is a very well made robust piece of furniture & as you can see from the images, the inside is well fitted out too. There is also a key to the cupboard. I'm not sure where this originates from, but I think it's either French or Italian & I would date it to around the 1900-10 period.

Depth - 26", 66 cm

Height - 45.3", 115 cm
