Metamorphic Campaign Armchair & Daybed C.1880.

Description

Fantastic late 19th.c. steel and brass frame military officer’s campaign armchair and bed c.1880. Can be used as either an armchair or daybed with a reclining backrest which can be set in three different positions or alternatively laid flat to make a bed. Steel frame with brass front legs and stretcher. Three loose buttoned leather upholstered cushions and arm rests recently reupholstered in a very good quality mustard coloured hide. Excellent condition, retaining the original large white pot castors.
