Ivorine and Satinwood Inlaid Bon Heur Du Jour

Description

A super quality rosewood and inlaid freestanding bon heur du jour. The superstructure having a brass gallery with boxwood stringing and a central inlaid cartouche of ivorine birds and satinwood swags. Below are 2 inlaid panelled doors which open to well fitted boxwood lined stationary compartments, the centre with open shelf and decorative corner brackets. The hinged fall with boxwood stringing and conforming inlay and when opened reveals the original green and gold tooled leather writing surface. The drawer with original brass handles, opens to support the fall and the whole supported on particularly well turned, reeded and inlaid legs which retain the original brass and porcelain castors. The under tier with shaped and moulded front. Original untouched condition. Sizes:- Width...27''...68.5cm. Max. Height...39.5''...100cm. Depth...17.25''...44cm. Writing Height...27.5''...70cm.
