The centres with satinwood and stained wood floral swags and original cast brass handles. The styles with oval Sheraton style inlays and graduated harebells inlaid within boxwood stringing and terminating on square tapering legs with original brass square cup castors. The kneehole with wonderfully inlaid corner brackets of satinwood shells inlaid into a green stained wood background. This freestanding desk has good figured mahogany sides and back, all inlaid with satinwood banding and ebony and boxwood lines. The inlaid top with a top quality hand dyed tooled leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. Attributed to Edwards & Roberts. Particularly good quality mahogany linings and all original locks and escutcheons. With keys. Fully cleaned and waxed. Sizes- Width...42''...107cm. Depth...21.75''...55.5cm.
