Good French Porcelain Panel Carriage Clock

Description

A fine quality mid/late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK with a "Sevres" porcelain dial and matching porcelain panels to both sides.

The case is of "gorge" design which has retained its good original "fire" gilding, whilst the eight-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. It retains its original lever platform escapement and Breguet blued steel "moon" hands. A handsome, quite large and rare carriage clock; 7.3ins (18.5cms) including the handle. Perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years. Key included.
